Extremely rare sign from this distillery, entitled “THE SLAVE MART.” Colorful illustration shows a gathering of mid-Eastern Arabs in the market place and a nude damsel, which would appear to be the object of their attention. Mayer Bros. & Co. Distillers, Cincinnati, U.S.A. Appears to be in the original frame and shadow box. SIZE: Image 19” w. x 27 1/2” h. CONDITION: Sign has strong, bright colors and is exceptionally clean with only a handful of small surface blemishes and one nail puncture at extreme left corner. PF 1-4399 (3,000-5,000)
