*FINE RIGBY BOLT ACTION SPORTING RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. SN 7620, Rigby #3091. Beautiful half stock sporting rifle, built on a standard Mauser action with stripper slot & thumb notch, with 25” tapered rnd bbl, with Jeffery-Farquhrason style ramp front sight and Rigby’s 2-leaf platinum line express rear sight with third leaf a 1,000 yard ladder sight. Top of bbl, in front of sight, has maker’s name & address. Striker has a Rigby’s Patent peep sight dovetailed into rear edge. It has standard Mauser trigger guard & floorplate. Mounted in a beautiful tiger-striped, 1-pc walnut stock with checkered forestock & rnd knob, pistol grip butt, 14-1/2” over a thick, solid, red pad. Bottom of bbl has a sling eye with a corresponding stud in the stock. CONDITION: Very fine plus. Bbl retains most of its bright orig factory finish with slight muzzle edge wear. Receiver & bolt retain most of their orig finish with some thinning over rear bridge. Stock is sound and retains most of a professionally restored finish.
