*VERY EARLY BROWNING SUPERPOSED SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 8728. St. Louis Browning with plain 28” bbls with matted top, front bead on pedestal, choked MOD/IMP-CYL. It has ejectors & dbl triggers. Mounted with streaky French walnut with checkered rnd field forearm and long tang rnd knob stock, 14” over a crystallized White Line pad. Receiver is plain & undecorated with only Browning name & trademark on bottom. Drop at heel: 2”, drop at comb: 1-3/8”. Weight: 7 lbs. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain 97-98% strong orig blue. Receiver retains about 95% orig blue, dull on bottom, with some spots of fine rust on sides. Forend iron is a blue/gray patina. Wood is sound with heavily crazed buttstock finish with some crackling & loose varnish. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bores. 4-58857 (800-1,200)
