REMINGTON #1 ROLLING BLOCK RIFLE WITH TWO BAYONETS. Cal. 43 Egyptian. SN 611290. Standard configuration with 34” bbl, elevator sight adapted for bayonet. Has orig cleaning rod, three bbl bands, sling swivels, typical steel military buttplate. Patent dates stamped lightly on frame tang. Accompanied by two Remington Rolling Block bayonets, one saber with scabbard and one socket bayonet that is stamped with an “R” signifying Remington Rolling Block bayonet. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbl retains about 90% strong, bright orig blue with fine freckles of light surface rust. Receiver retains most of its strong, orig case colors with some fading. Wood is sound with minor nicks and scratches and a few light bruises and retains most of its orig military finish. Mechanics are fine. Bright, shiny bore with a scattered spot or two of rust. Saber bayonet is fine and bright with lightly sharpened edge. Scabbard is fine with some touch-up blue. Socket bayonet is fine with some fine pitting and a light brown patina. 4-59368 JH8 (1,500-2,000)
