*SCARCE BROWNING MIDAS GRADE OVER/UNDER SHOTGUN. Cal. 410. SN 2031J7. Beautiful little Browning with 26-3/8” superposed bbls choked SKEET/SKEET with ventilated rib, dbl ivory beads & gold plated sgl selective trigger. Mounted with very nicely figured, streaky French walnut with tapered, checkered, target forearm & flat knob, short tang, pistol grip stock, 14-1/2” over an orig Browning pad. Receiver & appended metal are beautifully engraved with typical Midas patterns consisting of three raised gold pheasants on left side, three raised gold ducks on right side with both vignettes surrounded by their elliptical gold wire borders. Bottom of receiver has a small raised gold quail. All vignettes are surrounded by very well executed, deep intertwined foliate & floral arabesque patterns. Both sides of receiver are signed “A. CROUSSE”. This is a salt gun with some fine pitting where stock meets receiver and appears to have been factory refinished under recall program. Drop at heel: 1-5/8”, drop at comb: 1-1/4”. Weight: 6 lbs. 12.16 oz. CONDITION: Very fine to extremely fine. Retains virtually all of its fine factory style finish to both metal & wood. Bottom ejector is not functioning, otherwise mechanics are fine. Bright shiny bores. 4-59295 JR642 (8,000-12,000)
