A. G. K. (American/British, Early 20th Century) MR. PICKWICK & TONY WELLER. Pair of framed watercolors from the Pickwick papers. Each of one of the characters and having a pen and ink legend. One is signed middle right with initials “A.G.K.”, the other is unsigned. Both identically housed in modern molded wood frames with ivory mattes. These are similar to postcards of Pickwick characters that we have seen. These possibly could be for a book or other type of illustration. SIGHT SIZE: 7” x 4-1/4”.
