*ENGRAVED REMINGTON MODEL 32 OVER/UNDER SHOTGUN 3-BBL SET. Cal. 12 ga. SN 4421. Custom set with 26”, 28” & 32” bbls. The 26” & 28” bbls are choked SKEET/SKEET; the 32” bbls are choked FULL/IMP-MOD. The 26” & 28” bbls are serial numbered to receiver, while the 32” bbls are unnumbered. All have tapered, matted, ventilated ribs with Bradley orange ivory front beads & silver center beads. They have ejectors & receiver has sgl selective trigger. Mounted with extremely beautiful, streaky, honey & chocolate, French walnut with custom checkered & carved beavertail forearm & pistol grip stock with checkered raised side panels, 13-3/4” over a Decelerator pad. Receiver & appended metal parts are wonderfully engraved in best quality Germanic style, probably at Krieghoff or certainly under their influence, by Eric Buessler & has his “EB” signature on left side. Left side has large vignette engraved in deep relief, of two flying pheasants & two pointers in a very detailed field scene with a log shack in background. Right side, also signed “EB”, has large deep relief engraved vignette of two foxes & five ducks in a very detailed marsh scene. Bottom has a slightly smaller vignette, also signed “EB”, with very detailed scene of two spaniels & five quail in a woodland scene. Trigger bow has a deep relief engraved squirrel on a limb. All engraving is surrounded by very well executed foliate arabesque patterns. Thumb lever is pierced engraved with a boar’s head. Engraving extends about 4-1/4” up bbls & about 2-3/4” from muzzles and around bbl bands. Accompanied by an aluminum Nasco case, compartmented in bottom for stocked receiver, forearm & one set of bbls and in top for the other two sets of bbls and a set of sub-caliber tubes, probably by Purbaugh, in calibers 20 & 28 ga. and 410. Also included is a small plastic mallet & tube driving tool. 26” Bbls: Bore diameter: top – .729, bottom – .733. Bore restrictions: top – .007, bottom – .010. Wall thickness: top – .042, bottom – .039. 28” Bbls: Bore diameter: top – .745, bottom – .745. Bore restrictions: top – .005, bottom – .005. Wall thickness: top – .041, bottom – .028. 32” Bbls: Bore diameter: top – .726, bottom – .723. Bore restrictions: top – .025, bottom – .017. Wall thickness: top – .042, bottom – .046. Drop at heel: 2-1/8”, drop at comb: 1-1/2”. Weight with 26” bbls: 7 lbs. 12.16 oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Appears to have had little or no use since being finished. Retains virtually all of its fine custom finish to both metal & wood. Blue is strong & bright & coin finish on receiver & other metal is clean & bright. Wood is sound with no discernable flaws.
