LARGE KOENIG AND WERNECKE TODDLER. Unusual doll with head incised “K.W. (within a circle 12)”. She has blue glass sleep eyes with lower painted lashes and nicely feathered eyebrows, an open mouth with two upper teeth and nicely molded tongue and is mounted on a very nice quality German toddler body which is fully jointed and retains the original finish. She has been well re-costumed in a 1910 style one piece character dress, wears white and blue ribbed cotton stockings, and antique black oil cloth shoes with buckles as well as a newer long brown human hair wig. SIZE: 24″ (61cm). CONDITION: Long paint chip on upper right arm and one small wig pull near the center of the forehead. 1-7886 (600-800)
