REMINGTON MODEL 1882 DBL BBL EXPRESS LENGTH SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 11665. Fine early Remington with bbls cut to 20”, single silver bead with company name and address on top rib. The lockplates are unmarked. It has a checkered black tip splinter forearm and semi-pistol grip stock with smooth steel buttplate. The left side of the butt is branded with large “UP” ostensibly for the Union Pacific Railway. CONDITION: All the metal retains a silver/gray patina. Stock has a crack back of the left lock and is missing chips by the top tang and a long sliver back of the right lock, otherwise the wood is sound, showing heavy wear. One of the trigger guard screws is missing. Mechanics are fine, rough pitted bores. We have not authenticated and do no guarantee the authenticity of the markings and bbl length. 4-52349 JR151 (750-1,250)
