WINCHESTER MODEL 1887 LEVER ACTION SHOTGUN.

WINCHESTER MODEL 1887 LEVER ACTION SHOTGUN. Cal. 10 ga. SN 53741. Standard grade gun with 30” Damascus bbl, uncheckered wood with round knob grip and checkered steel buttplate. The right side of the buttstock has been amateur carved with a flying goose and the right forearm panel has carved lines, apparently the pattern for checkering. CONDITION: Good to very good. Bbl retains about 50% Damascus pattern being a dark silver/brown patina. Balance of the metal is an overall smooth medium patina. Wood, as noted, retains a smooth hand rubbed patina. Mechanics are fine. Dark pitted bore. 4-52215 JR62 (400-700)
