EARLY PARKER DAMASCUS HAMMER DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 67045. Built on a #2 frame with 30″ twist bbls choked MOD/MOD with tapered concave matted rib, sgl bead, doll’s head rib extension & extractors. Receiver has light border patterns on lockplate & around bottom with maker’s name on each side. It has serpentine opening lever. Mounted with nicely figured American walnut with checkered splinter forearm & pistol grip stock, 14-1/8″ over a Parker deep dog’s-head, hard rubber buttplate. Drop at heel: 3-1/4″, drop at comb: 2-1/16″. Bore restrictions: left – .032, right – .031. Wall thickness: left – .039, right – .036. Bore diameter: left – .751, right – .752. Weight: 8 lbs. 14.08 oz.. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls are a rich chocolate brown retaining most of their twist pattern with a minor spot or two & minor edge wear. Case colors on lockplates, hammers & trigger plate are strong & brilliant. Fences are dark case colors & bottom front of receiver is turned silver. Trigger guard blue is thinning & there are several small nicks & scratches on buttstock. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bores with some light pitting in right side. 4-57479 JR653 (2,500-3,500)
