*WINCHESTER MODEL 12 CUSTOM PUMP SHOTGUN. Cal. 16 ga. SN 581805. Beautiful custom shotgun with 25″ bbl having a Weaver choke and aftermarket Simmons rib. The choke is missing its tubes. The receiver and about 2-3/4″ on each side of the chamber of the bbl are heavily engraved in Germanic style consisting of full coverage widely spaced foliate arabesque patterns. The left side has a large oval vignette with a large gold inlaid fox clutching a gold duck in its mouth with another gold duck flying away. There is a light marsh scene in the background. The right side has a large oval vignette of a gold pointer on point with three gold quail and a light field scene in the background. All the surrounding engraving has a fine matted background. It has nicely figured replacement wood that has deep carved oak leaf and acorn patterns with matted background and a thin crystallized red recoil pad. CONDITION: Very fine plus, the choke missing as noted, otherwise retains about all of its custom finish to metal and wood. The left side of the receiver along the top edge has a series of small spots of rust pitting. Mechanics are crisp, strong bright bore with some fine scattered rust spots.
