GAVIOLI HURDY GURDY. Ca. 1890’s, this exquisite French 25-note barrel organ with beautifully inlaid case with fleur di lis and marquetry patterns. Inlaid on front “Uniflute Gavioli & Cie Btes SGDG Avenue Taillebourg, 2 Place du Trone, Paris”. Retains paper label tune card affixed to inner lid. Rests on custom cart of more recent vintage. SIZE: Music box measures 22 1/2″ w. x 22 1/2″ h. x 13″ d. CONDITION: Some lifting to inlay at corners, one horizontal age crack to side, otherwise very good with strong clear tone. 1-4475 (5,500-6,500)
