*IVER JOHNSON HERCULES DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 410. SN 5245E. Cousin to the Skeeter model with 28″ bbls, choked FULL/FULL with high serrated rib and single bead with short rib extension. It has dbl triggers and ejectors. The receiver is undecorated with square edge box lock. It has maker’s name and “HAMMER FORGED” on the left side and the maker’s name and address on the right side of the receiver. It is mounted in nicely figured American walnut wood with checkered semi-beavertail forearm and straight stock, 13-7/8″ over an original owl’s head hard rubber buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine, the bbls retain 96-97% strong original blue with slight muzzle edge wear and three or four small chemical spots on the bottom rib. The receiver retains about 80% original blue, thin toward the front end, strong and bright elsewhere. The wood is sound with light handling and use marks and retains most of its bright original finish, slight wear on the forearm. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bores. 4-53696 JR1014 (1,750-2,750)
