*SPECTACULAR UPGRADE VH GRADE PARKER DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 28 ga. SN 170810. Built on a OO frame with 26” Vulcan Steel bbls choked FULL/MOD with tapered, concave, matted rib, sgl bead, doll’s head rib extension, extractor & gold plated dbl triggers. Receiver has lightning cuts in water table. Mounted with extremely beautiful, replacement, Circassian walnut with large checkered beavertail forearm & pistol grip stock with raised checkered & carved side panels, 14-1/2” over a checkered butt. There is a blank raised gold initial shield on bottom. Receiver & all appended metal are spectacularly engraved, probably by Angelo Bee, but not signed, with full coverage, foliate arabesque patterns with seven raised bouquets of roses & daisies in 3-color gold and with long sprays of foliate & blossom patterns. Fences are relief engraved with flower blossoms and 2-tone gold roses & leaves. Thumb lever & trigger guard also have bouquets of flowers in 3-color gold and pad of thumb lever is pierce-carved in flower blossoms. Engraving extends 2-3/4” up over chamber areas and there is a thin gold line at breech end with another at muzzle ends and about 3/4” of engraving on sides of muzzles. Bore diameter: left – .557, right – .555. Bore restrictions: left – .031, right – .017. Unable to gauge wall thickness. Drop at heel: 2-1/4”, drop at comb: 1-1/4”. Weight: 5 lbs. 15.04 oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain about all of their fine custom blue and receiver all of its bright metal color. Wood is sound and retains all of its fine custom finish.
