FREDERICK MATZOW (American, 20th Century) COASTAL WAVES. Unframed oil on canvas scene shows crashing waves onto rock outcropping. Sail and seagulls are seen on horizon. Signed lower left “F. Matzow 1912”. Matzow was a Handel artist and painter. Example of his works are illustrated in the book Handel Lamps, Painted Shades and Glassware. See page 20 for similar painting. SIZE: 18” x 28”.
