*CASED WINCHESTER MODEL 23 GRANDE CANADIAN DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. SN GC285. Usual Model 23 configuration with 25-1/2″ vent rib bbls, tapered matted rib with dbl ivory beads, choked MOD/IMP CYL. The rib is marked “Grande Canadian” and the left bbl has usual markings plus “Grande Canadian”. It has 3″ chambers with gold plated single selective trigger & ejectors. The receiver, opening lever, trigger guard and forend iron are finished bright. The receiver has engraved maple leaves and light arabesque patterns on the sides and bottom of the receiver with two raised gold maple leaves just above the trigger guard. The matching engraving is on the opening lever, trigger bow and extends up the bbls over the chambers. The forend iron is matching engraved. It is mounted in very highly figured center crotch cut American walnut stock & forearm with fleur-de-lis checkered beavertail forearm and straight stock, 13″ over the original thin red Winchester pad. The stock has fleur-de-lis checkered side panels and wrap around checkering on the wrist. Accompanied by its original plum colored, ultra-suede lined, canvas & leather trunk case. CONDITION: Extremely fine, near new. Has been fired but retains virtually all of its fine factory finish to both metal & wood with minor nicks & scratches on the wood. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bores. Case is equally new. 4-51381 JR907 (1,500-2,500)
