CHARLES DALY DBL BBL HAMMER SHOTGUN. Cal. 8 bore. SN 15687. Massive dbl with 32-1/8″ Damascus bbls, smooth concave rib with one bead and the makers name on top. It has dbl lump with long rib extension that is also a third bite. It is top lever with dbl triggers and extractors. It has very nicely figured walnut wood with full checkered horn insert, semi-schnable tip forearm secured with a single wedge and straight stock 14″ over a smooth steel buttplate. The trigger guard, triggers and buttplate are nickel-plated. The receiver, lockplate and hammer are case hardened. Weight 11 lbs, 11.2 oz. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbls retain about 95% Damascus pattern, turning brown. Lockplates retain 85-90% case hardening with traces of colors being mostly silver. Hammers retain generous amounts of fading case colors and the receiver, traces of case colors with the balance turned silver. Wood is sound, showing moderate to heavy wear with usual moderate handling and use marks and retains traces of a very old restored finish.
