PARKER DH GRADE DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 89215. Built on a 1-1/2 frame with 28-3/16” Titanic Steel bbls choked IMP-CYL/IMP-CYL with tapered, concave, matted rib, sgl bead, doll’s head rib extension, extractor & dbl triggers. Mounted with streaky English walnut with checkered splinter forearm and capped pistol grip stock with raised, teardrop side panels, 14-3/8” over an old solid red pad. There is a blank silver initial plate on bottom of stock. Receiver is engraved in standard “D” patterns with a pointer on left side, a setter on right side & four pheasants on floorplate, surrounded by foliate arabesque patterns and maker’s name in a ribbon on each side. Bore diameter: left – .734, right – .735. Bore restrictions: left – .015, right – .013. Wall thickness: left – .031, right – .031. Drop at heel: 3”, drop at comb: 1-3/4”. Weight: 7 lbs. 6.08 oz. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Bbls retain 75-80% thinning orig blue with a large area of pitting on right bbl about mid-point. Receiver retains 65-70% orig case colors, strong on sides & in sheltered areas, faded on fences & silver on bottom. There is a hairline back of top tang with some small chips by top tang, otherwise wood is sound and retains most of an old restored finish with a gouge on buttstock & usual handling & use marks. It appears that the bores may have been honed. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bores. 4-59233 JR524 (4,000-6,000)
