CARVED WALNUT BUTLER’S TRAY ON STAND. First half 19th century. The rectangular gallery tray, metal-bound with pierced handgrips. The folding base of dovetailed construction, the block-and-baluster turned legs hinged in the center with brass-capped bolts, joined at the top by a straight apron, at the bottom by cylindrical ring-turned stretchers, the whole on turned feet. SIZE: Tray: 3-1/2″ h x 32-1/4″ l x 19-1/4″ w. Base: 31″ h x 28″ w x 17-1/4″ d. CONDITION: Very good overall, retaining original finish, in need of cleaning and polishing, structurally very good. 9-92837 (400-600)
