GEORGE HOWELL GAY (American, 1858-1931) ROCKY SHORELINE WITH WAVES. Watercolor scene shows a rocky coastline with a series of crashing waves with wonderful detail of light shining through the sea mist tops. They roll in from a dark sea and crash on the rocks. Two large sailing vessels are seen in the distance. Signed lower right “Geo. Howell Gay”. Housed in what appears to be its original partial gilt decorated frame with an artist name tag.
