*PARKER DHE GRADE DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 216241. Built on a 1-1/2 frame with 30” Titanic Steel bbls choked FULL/FULL with tapered, concave, matted rib, dbl ivory beads, front bead broken in half, doll’s head rib extension, ejectors & dbl triggers. Mounted with very nicely figured, streaky, tiger-striped, American walnut with checkered splinter forearm & capped pistol grip stock with raised teardrop side panels, 14-1/4” over a crystallized Jostam waffle pad. Receiver is engraved with typical “D” patterns with a pointer on left side, setter on right side & four pheasants on floorplate, surrounded by foliate arabesque patterns with maker’s name in a ribbon on each side. Engraving has somewhat more detail in vignettes with fine shading on dogs and background scenery. Bore diameter: left – .729, right – .728. Bore restrictions: left – .034, right – .033. Wall thickness: left – .034, right – .031. Drop at heel: 2-5/16, drop at comb: 1-3/8”. Weight: 7 lbs. 9.6 oz. CONDITION: Very fine plus. Bbls retain about 95-96% strong, bright, orig blue with light muzzle edge wear & a couple of minor scratches. Receiver retains 60-70% orig case colors, strong on sides & in sheltered areas, fading to silver on bottom. Stock has a hairline back of top tang, otherwise wood is sound with normal handling & use marks including several light scratches and retains about 95% orig varnish, dull on forearm.
