*BERNARDELLI MODEL SLE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12ga. SN 20404. Fine sidelock dbl with 26″ bbls, choked MOD/MOD. It has a high, tapered, matted rib with single silver bead, dbl lug with third fastener. It has bright finished receiver and lock plates, lightly engraved with full arabesque patterns on the fences and over the top of the receiver with light wavy borders elsewhere and sunflower patterns around the hinge pin and lock screw. The left lockplate has a gold inlaid flying pheasant, the right side has a gold inlaid flying mallard, the bottom of the receiver has two gold inlaid flying woodcock and a gold inlaid flying pigeon on the opening lever. It has dbl triggers and ejectors with non-automatic safety. It is mounted in very nicely figured European walnut with full checkered splinter forearm and semi-pistol grip stock 14-1/2″ over a black Decelerator pad. There is a silver initial shield on the bottom. The bottom of the right bbl, under the forearm is marked with a Thad Scott import mark. Drop at the heel 1-1/2”, drop at the comb 1-1/8”and weight 7lbs, 2.7 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Has been fired but retains virtually all its fine, original factory finish to both metal and wood. Stock and forearm have a few scattered, very light nicks and scratches. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bores. 4-53679 JR993 (1,500-2,500)
