GIUSEPPE RENDA (Italian, 1859-1939) DANCING BOYS. Three bronze figures of young boys in the nude in different poses. 1) 13-1/4” h figure up on one foot with one leg outstretched with vine twine in each hand and cymbal form in one. Signed “G Renda” with round foundry mark having partial letters decipherable “Ritti Utore”. Block number to base “21165”. 2) 14” h figure shows a boy on one leg with one leg behind him in jumping position. A partial vine belt is his only clothing. Signed and having a round foundry mark “Dritti Autore”. Block numbers to base “22255”. 3) 18” h figure shows a boy with chalice uplifted in one hand and a grape vine with grape clusters encompassing his left arm. Signed and also with round foundry mark “Diritti ‘Autore”. Block numbers to base “29 6880”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-70816 (3,500-4,500)
