*PARKER MODEL GHE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 16 ga. SN 214962. Fine Parker dbl built on a number 1 frame with 26” bbls, choked IMP CYL/CYL. It has concave matted rib with single bead marked with the maker’s name and “SPECIAL STEEL”. The receiver is engraved in usual “G” patterns with two flying ducks on the left side, two quail on the right side and two pheasants on the floorplate, surrounded with light arabesque patterns. The “Parker Bros” name is in the oval on each side. It has a few extra flourishes of borders behind the fences and arabesque patterns on the fences. It has Parker single trigger and ejectors. The wood is nicely grained walnut with extra-checkered beavertail forearm and straight stock, 14 1/8” over a shallow dog’s head buttplate. There is a silver initial shield on the bottom. CONDITION: Very fine. Retains virtually all of an extremely fine professionally restored finish to both metal and wood including fine rust bluing on the bbls with two or three small scratches over the chamber and case coloring on the receiver.
