*VERY EARLY WINCHESTER MODEL 21 DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 81. First year production field gun with 30″ bbls choked FULL/MOD. It has tapered concave matted rib with dbl ivory beads, the front is missing. It has a step side receiver with no marking or engraving and single selective trigger with extractors. The wood is beautifully figured center crotch cut sunburst pattern American walnut with extra checkered beaver tail forearm and semi-pistol grip stock with checkered side panels, 14-1/4″ over a Winchester solid red pad. Drop at the heel 1-13/16”, drop at the comb 1-5/8”, Weight 8 lbs, 0.3 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine, retains all of its fine bright blue to the metal and oil finish on the wood. The stock has a couple of small scratches and a ding or two. The mechanics are crisp with bright shiny bores that have a couple of small spots of orange peel. 4-53662 JR981 (1,750-2,750)
