*RARE CUSTOM ENGRAVED BENELLI EXECUTIVE MODEL SEMI-AUTO SHOTGUN. Cal. 12ga. SN F117161. Spectacular hunting shotgun with 28″ vent-rib bbl, chambered for 2-3/4″ or 3″ ammunition with interchangeable chokes (total of 5). This wonderful shotgun started out life as Benelli’s better grade gun and was custom engraved in Italy with raised multi-color gold inlays of two flying pheasants in a farm field scene on the left side and two raised gold flying ducks in a marsh scene on the right side. Both vignettes are executed in great detail by master engraver Julio Timpini who, for many years, was Beretta’s master engraver. Each side has beautifully executed foliate arabesque patterns in front of and behind the vignettes and over the top rear of the receiver. An additional crowning touch is the spectacular, most unbelievable honey & chocolate burl Circassian walnut stock and forearm and a well-done walnut grip cap and buttplate. The buttplate has engraved screwheads that are mounted through metal escutcheons. It is accompanied by its original gray synthetic carrying case, the four extra chokes and a choke wrench. This is one of only four similar shotguns ever produced as a favor by Mr. Timpini. CONDITION: Factory new, appears to be unfired. It retains virtually all of its beautiful coin finish on the receiver and oil finish on the wood. The top receiver retains all of its original factory blue as does the bbl. A truly exceptional piece of work that would make a fine hunting gun or a very decorative addition to someone’s collection. The cost to replace this shotgun, including the price of the new Executive Model Benelli the astronomical cost of the wood and then Mr. Timpini’s charges would exceed $15,000. 4-53688 (8,000-12,000)
