*BEAUTIFUL CASED CONNECTICUT SHOTGUN MFG. CO. FOX FE GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. SN F205777. Beautiful special order Fox with 29” bbls choked MOD/IMP-CYL with tapered, concave, matted rib, dbl ivory beads, crossbolt rib extension, ejectors & gold plated dbl triggers. Right bbl is engraved “MADE TO ORDER-A.H. FOX” and left bbl “KRUPP FLUID STEEL”. There is a gold band at breech end of rib with engraving patterns about 3” over each chamber with gold lightning bolts. Mounted with spectacular honey & chocolate, marble cake, Circassian walnut with checkered & carved, black insert splinter forearm with rnd knob stock, also checkered & carved, with raised side panels, 15” over a thin leather covered pad. Receiver is wonderfully deep engraved & signed by “J. DAVIDSON” with two flying quail on left side, two flying ducks on right side and a running fox on bottom, all surrounded by very fine flat foliate arabesque & floral patterns. Bottom of receiver has maker’s name in gold & floorplate screw has a scalloped gold wire border with four diamonds at cardinal points. Trigger bow is engraved with initials “RJK” and bottom tang has serial number in gold. Each end of hinge pin & thumb lever pivot have four gold diamonds & top tang has “SAFE” in gold. Water table & inside forend iron have serial number & “FE” in gold. Bore diameter: left – .621, right – .621. Bore restrictions: left – .018, right – .013. Wall thickness: left – .028, right – .028. Drop at heel: 2-3/4”, drop at comb: 1-7/16”. Weight: 5 lbs. 12.48 oz. Accompanied by orig hang tag identifying this shotgun. Also included is orig order confirmation with specific directions for deep chisel engraving with specific scenes & for a wider & thicker than standard forearm. It includes a picture of a trotting fox downloaded from internet which is duplicated on bottom of receiver. Also includes a photograph of Tony Galazan displaying the stock blank for this shotgun. Additionally includes the warranty card & other company information. Also accompanying is a C.S. Mfg. Co., maroon felt lined, leather trunk case, compartmented for shotgun & bbls with a 2-pc brass & ebony cleaning rod, two snap caps & a square nickeled oil bottle. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine. Retains virtually all of its orig factory finish to both metal & wood with slight muzzle edge wear with some thinning of case colors on bottom edges of receiver. Stock has a few, very minor, scattered handling & storage nicks, and otherwise wood is sound. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bores. Case is equally new. 4-60713 JR327 (17,500-27,500)
