*RARE FOX A GRADE SKEET VENT RIB MODEL DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 34646. Savage made with 28″ bbls, choked SKEET/SKEET with tapered matted ventilated rib with large silver front bead and ivory middle bead. It has dbl triggers & ejectors with bbl extension fastener. The receiver has light engraving with “ANSLEY H. FOX” on both sides. The wood is straight grain American walnut with a large beavertail forearm and checkered pistol grip stock with raised side panels, 14-1/4″ over an old brown waffle pad. Drop at the heel 3”, drop at the comb 1-1/4”. Weight 7 lbs, 11.4 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain 95-96% strong bright original blue with light muzzle edge wear, a couple of small wear spots elsewhere and a spot or two of light surface rust. Receiver retains virtually all of its bright original case colors, slightly faded on the bottom front edge. Trigger guard retains traces of case colors, mostly turned silver. Forend iron retains most of its original faded case colors. Forearm is missing a small sliver from the right rear edge, otherwise the wood is sound and retains most of its original oil finish.
