*CASED SPECTACULAR CONNECTICUT SHOTGUN MFG. CO. FOX FE SPECIAL GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. SN F205789. Fabulous C.S. Mfg. Co. shotgun with 30” bbls choked FULL/MOD with tapered concave matted rib, dbl ivory beads, crossbolt rib extension, ejectors & gold plated dbl triggers. Right bbl is inlaid in gold “MADE TO ORDER A.H. FOX” and left bbl “KRUPP FLUID STEEL”. There are narrow gold bands at muzzle & chamber ends with a gold band on rib and gold lightning bolts on sides of chambers. Bbl flats are inlaid in gold “FE SPECIAL / F205789”. Mounted with extraordinarily beautiful, marblecake, burl, honey & chocolate circassian walnut with fleur-de-lis carved & checkered, black insert, schnable tipped forearm & carved & checkered rnd knob pistol grip stock, 14-5/8” over a checkered & carved butt. Receiver & appended metal are all fantastically engraved by “J.R. Demunck” & signed on trigger plate. It has full coverage, extremely fine, foliate arabesque patterns with extremely well executed gold woodcock on left side, gold partridge on right side, gold pheasant on bottom front of receiver & a gold setter on trigger bow. Each side of receiver has maker’s name in gold & each end of hinge pin & thumb lever pivot have four gold diamonds. Floorplate screw & trigger guard vignette have scalloped gold wire borders. Top tang has “SAFE” in gold & serial number on bottom tang is in gold. Water table has serial number & “FE SPECIAL” in gold. Water table also has very beautiful engraving patterns. Accompanied by a C.S. Mfg. Co., maroon felt lined, leather trunk case with label in lid & compartmented in bottom for a 2-pc brass & wood cleaning rod & square oil bottle. Also has its orig canvas & leather cover with a broken zipper. Bore diameter: left – .622, right – .621. Bore restrictions: left – .024, right – .013. Wall thickness: left – .037, right – .034. Drop at heel: 2-1/2”, drop at comb: 1-1/2”. Weight: 5 lbs. 14.72 oz. CONDITION: Extraordinarily fine, as new, may have been fired but if so, very little, although it has been assembled a number of times as there are ejector scrape marks on standing breech. Bbls have brilliant bright blue & receiver vivid case colors. Wood has beautiful high gloss, orig factory finish with only one or two minor flaws mostly around edges of butt.
