*PARKER DH GRADE DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 28 ga. SN 191344. Built on a “OO” frame with 25-1/2” Titanic Steel bbls choked CYL/CYL and appear to be orig length. It has tapered, concave, matted rib with dbl ivory beads, doll’s head rib extension, extractor & dbl triggers. Mounted with replacement, center feather crotch cut, American walnut with checkered, splinter forearm & straight stock with raised, teardrop side panels, 14-1/2” over a checkered, skeleton buttplate. Bottom tang channel is stamped with serial number and “LDG” with date “12.8.80”. Presumably this stands for Larry DelGrego, having restocked this shotgun in 1980. Receiver is engraved in typical “D” patterns with a setter on left side, a pointer on right side & four pheasants on floorplate, surrounded by foliate arabesque patterns and maker’s name on each side. Water table has lightning cuts. Bore diameter: left – .554, right – .553. Bore restrictions: left – .003, right – .003. Wall thickness: left – .023, right – .025. Drop at heel: 2-7/16”, drop at comb: 1-1/2”. Weight: 5 lbs. 8.96 oz. CONDITION: Very fine. As completely DelGrego restored. Bbls retain about all of a fine rust blue and receiver all of its bright case colors. Wood is sound and retains all of its custom finish. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bores with a spot or two of pitting. Bores have been honed. 4-59274 JR695 (12,500-17,500)
