ATTRIBUTED TO ARTHUR WESLEY DOW (American, 1857-1922) “FROM GAY HEAD TO SEA”. Oil on board scene shows colorful seascape with ocean going from turquoise to purple to blue under a cloud and blue sky. Unsigned front. Title and artist name on frame in pencil on back. Some other pencil writing on back of board is illegible. Housed in an old gesso decorated gold frame. SIZE: 8” x 11”. CONDITION: Small paint chip in center with some vertical chips at right corner. Otherwise very good. 9-98013 (500-750)
