*RARE PARKER DHE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. SN 226624. Built on an “O” frame with rare 32″ bbls, choked FULL/FULL with a tapered matted rib and dbl ivory beads. The rib is marked with the maker’s name & address and “TITANIC STEEL”. It has a squared doll’s head extension and ejectors with dbl triggers. The receiver is engraved in typical D-grade patterns with a pointer on the left, a setter on the right and four pheasants on the floorplate surrounded by foliate arabesque patterns with geometric patterns behind the fences. The wood is beautifully grained, center cut American walnut with splinter forearm and teardrop side panel, pistol grip stock, 14-1/2″ over a very old Jostam red waffle pad that appears to be original to the shotgun. Drop at the heel 2-3/4”, drop at the comb 1-7/16”. Weight 6 lbs, 15.9 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine, the bbls retain about 90% original blue with light muzzle edge wear, a few light nicks and rubs and thinned to blue/gray over the forearm areas. The receiver retains 75-80% original case colors, bright in the sheltered areas, fading and turned to silver elsewhere. The wood is sound with usual light handling nicks, scratches and dings with the buttstock retaining about 90% of strong bright varnish. The forearm is sound with the varnish having turned dark and is possibly an old restored finish. Mechanics are fine, brilliant shiny bores. 4-53708 JR1020 (7,500-12,500)
