RUSSELL SMITH (American, 1812-1896) “MOOSE HILL; SACO RIVER”. Outstanding oil on canvas scene shows tall mountains as backdrop under a setting sun with blue sky. Early fall foliage with a large river having a moose on a large ledge in foreground and a stag deer swimming across. Signed lower left “Russell Smith 1850”. Also titled and signed on back.
