*WESTLEY RICHARDS BOXLOCK DROP ACTION DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 16 ga. SN 01084. Beautiful English double with 27-3/4” bbls choked FULL/MOD with tapered, concave, smooth rib with sgl bead, ejectors, dbl under bites & third fastener. It has a sgl selective trigger. Mounted with very nicely figured, checkered, streaky English walnut with black horn-tipped splinter forearm and straight stock, 14-1/4” over a thin, Old English pad. Bottom of stock has a silver initial plate engraved “JFF”. Receiver & appended iron are very beautifully engraved in intertwined, foliate & floral arabesque patterns. Maker’s name is in a panel on each side. Fences have a narrow raised rib around their back edges. Bore diameter: left – .664, right – .661. Bore restrictions: left – .027, right – .003. Wall thickness: left – .038, right – .035. Drop at heel: 2-1/4”, drop at comb: 1-1/2”. Weight: 6 lbs. .26 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as professionally restored. Bbls retain most of a fine English style bright blue and receiver virtually all of its brilliant case colors. Floorplate has a small scrape from forend iron, otherwise it and trigger guard retain virtually all of their bright blue.
