*FINE CASED BERTUZZI SELF-COCKING EJECTOR HAMMER DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 410 ga. SN 5791. Stunning, dainty little shotgun with 26-1/8″ bbls, choked FULL/IMP-CYL with flat, tapered, hand-matted rib with single bead. It has dbl lump with ejectors & single non-selective trigger and is self cocking, in that when the shotgun is opened the hammers are automatically moved into the full cocked position. The left bbl is marked with the maker’s name & address and the right “BINGHAM LTD. ATLANTA GA USA”. It is mounted in spectacular honey & chocolate Circassian walnut with tiny checkered splinter forearm and straight stock with raised teardrop side panels, 14-1/2″ over a checkered butt. The checkering is flat diamonds in about 30-lines per inch. The receiver, lockplates, hammers, opening lever, trigger guard and forend iron are very beautifully case colored with stunning highlights of 24K gold wire, inlaid completely around every edge. The company name is in gold on each lockplate and it has a gold “S” on the top tang along with the initials “LLB” on the trigger bow. The serial number is in gold on the lower tang and the engraver’s name “C. Cremini” is on the trigger plate. The forearm has the company crest in gold in the center diamond. A truly impressive and wonderful small game gun. Drop at the heel 1-13/16”, drop at the comb 1-11/16”. Weight 5 lbs, 9.5 oz. Accompanied by its original brown leather maroon suede lined trunk case with the maker’s label in the lid. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as new, may have been fired but does not appear so. Retains virtually all of its original factory finish to both metal and wood. Case colored parts & pieces retain virtually all of their original lacquer coating except for a couple of small spots on the lower tang. Colors are vivid & bright. Wood is sound with minor handling & storage nicks & scratches. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bores. Case is extremely fine. 4-53691 JR1045 (15,000-25,000)
