*FINE ENGRAVED WINCHESTER MODEL 21 DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 28 ga. SN W33961. Engraved in late 21-5 pattern, this beautiful shotgun has 26” Winchester proof steel barrels choked MOD/IMP-CYL with tapered, flat, matted, ventilated rib with Bradley red ivory bead, ejectors & gold-plated sgl trigger. Rib is marked “CUSTOM BUILT BY WINCHESTER” and it has Winchester “WP” proofs. It has flat side receiver with lightning cuts in water table and all bright metal is nicely jeweled. Mounted with very beautiful, feather crotch cut, American walnut with deluxe checkered, black insert, beavertail forearm & straight stock, 14-1/4” over a checkered butt. It has a blank gold initial plate on bottom. Engraving on receiver is modified 21-5 pattern and consists of large vignettes of a pheasant on left side, a wild turkey on right side and a bird dog retrieving a bird on floorplate. There is a setter on trigger guard. All the engraving is surrounded by foliate arabesque patterns. Bore diameter: left – .552, right – .550. Bore restrictions: left – .014, right – .010. Unable to gauge wall thickness. Drop at heel: 2-1/8”, drop at comb: 1-1/4”. Weight: 7 lbs. 13.44 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Retains virtually all of its orig factory finish to both metal & wood. May be unfired. Wood finish is bright & clean and blue is strong & bright. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bores. 4-59504 JR681 (20,000-25,000)
