REMINGTON #1 ROLLING BLOCK BREECH LOADING SINGLE BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 16 ga. For 16B shotgun shell (20 ga. Paper). SN 36. Standard #1 Rolling Block Shotgun with 32” twist steel bbl having casehardened frame and standard walnut stock & forearm. This shotgun was purchased by consignor at auction in 1989 from Jack Appel Collection. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl retains about all of its dark Damascus patterns with blue overtones. This is the only Damascus bbl Remington Rolling block shotgun this consignor has ever seen. Receiver retains virtually all of its brilliant orig case colors. Wood is sound with some oil staining around the top tang with the forearm retaining most of a restored finish, and the buttstock some minor touch-up with light handling and use marks and light heat crazing.
