*RARE PARKER AHE DBL BBL SHOTGUN 2-BBL SET. Cal. 20 ga. & 28 ga. SN 160652. Ultra rare Parker with “O” frame and two sets of bbls numbered “1” & “2” and both serial numbered to the receiver, both 26″ with tapered concave matted ribs and single bead. Each has the maker’s name and address & “Acme Steel” at the breech end and have doll’s head rib extensions. The 28 ga. bbls are choked IMP CYL/CYL and the 20 ga. bbls are choked MOD/CYL. The receiver has dbl triggers and ejectors. The wood is very highly figured English walnut with full checkered splinter forearm and semi-pistol grip stock, 14-1/4″ over a checkered skeleton buttplate. The stock has raised checkered fleur-de-lis side panels and extensively checkered wrist with the patterns wrapping around the top. It has a large round silver initial plate with the engraved initials “A.R.H.”. There is a blank engraved gold initial plate in the grip cap. The receiver is beautifully engraved with extremely fine foliate arabesque patterns, full coverage with a small vignette of two bird dogs on point on the left side and on the right side. The bottom front of the receiver has two more bird dogs on point and the floor plate has a buck and two does. The trigger bow has a bird dog and two flushing birds. The fences are matching engraved with a fine raised rib. The opening lever and bottom tang, buttplate and forend iron are engraved to match. It has small edge engraving at the chamber end of each bbl. The receiver and trigger guard have fine foliate pattern borders. It is accompanied by a russet leather covered trunk case with green felt lining compartmented for the shotgun and both bbls and has Parker marked square English oiler and a pair of Parker Bros. nickeled snap caps. It also has a compartment for a 2-piece brass & wood wiping rod with a jag and brush in a covered compartment. There is a Parker gun label in the lid. Weight 20 ga. – 6 lbs. 5 oz. Weight 28 ga. – 6 lbs. even. LOP 14-1/4″, drop at heel 2-5/8″ and drop at comb 1-5/16″. CONDITION: Very fine, all matching numbered. The bbls, receiver and wood all retain about all of an extremely fine professionally restored finish. The bbls have a deep blue/black finish with properly polished bright areas and the receiver has original Parker type case colors. The wood is sound with a minor scratch or two with slightly bright finish. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bores. The case is extremely fine. 4-53346 JR863 (37,500-67,500)
