FRENCH HAND-PAINTED AND GILT DECORATED CABINET VASE, CHOISY-LE-ROI, LATE 19TH CENTURY. Of rectangular form, the front panel depicting a classical robed woman seated by a brook, being kissed by a putto within a beaded gilt heightened border of floral vinery, the sides and reverse gilt similarly gilt heightened with floral vinery and song birds all on a yellow ground. With circular mark incised “Choisy-Le-Roi” centering T.B. SIZE: 14-1/2”h. CONDITION: Good overall, neck rim repainted, losses too gilded border on backside. 9-74805 SM (300-500)
