*CASED WINCHESTER MODEL 101 XTR PIGEON GRADE OVER/UNDER TRAP GUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN PK418071. Fine intermediate level trap gun with 30″ bbls choked FULL/IMP-MOD, Broadway rib with dbl ivory beads and “PIGEON GRADE” near the chamber end. The receiver, opening lever, trigger guard & forend iron are finished bright. The receiver has light etched patterns of arabesque engraving and all the iron has light border patterns. It is mounted in very nicely figured walnut stock with extensively checkered grasping grooved beavertail forearm and pistol grip stock with raised checkered side panels and square bottom grip, Monte Carlo comb, 14-1/2″ over the original black Winchester waffle pad. It has single selective trigger & ejectors. It is accompanied by a Browning round corner trunk case. CONDITION: Very fine to extremely fine, the bbls retain 96-97% strong original blue with a small pattern of dents on the right side at the muzzle of the lower bbl where the consignor states someone shot a little close to him. The receiver and related iron retain most of its bright original finish. The wood is sound with the forearm retaining virtually all of its strong original finish with a nick or two and the stock showing where an “add-on” pad had been attached over the comb, otherwise retains about 75% bright original finish.
