PAIR OF ITALIAN MAJOLICA VASES. Exceptional large Italian vases are ornately decorated with winged fairies supporting each of two handles. One base has a center panel handpainted with three classical figures. The reverse side has a painted panel featuring Neptune and other figures. The other vase has painting of men and women holding spears on one side and an angel on the reverse. The brightly colored vase is finished with a nice majolica type glaze. Vases are marked with an undistinguishable dark blue mark on underside. SIZE: 45” t. CONDITION: Some repairs to vases, overall very good. 5-71760 (6,000-8,000)
