*PARKER CHE GRADE DAMASCUS DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN 2-BARREL SET. Cal. 12 ga. & 16 ga. SN 119760. Built on a No. 1 frame with two sets of 28” Bernard Steel bbls. 12 ga. bbls are choked MOD/MOD (and were added at a later time to the gun) and 16 ga. bbls are choked FULL/IMP-CYL. Both have tapered, concave, matted rib with sgl bead, doll’s head rib extension, ejectors & receiver has dbl triggers. There is one forearm. Mounted with highly figured, streaky, French walnut with checkered splinter forearm & straight stock with teardrop side panels, 14” over a checkered, skeleton buttplate. Bottom of stock has a blank silver initial oval secured with six silver pins. Receiver is beautifully engraved with small vignettes of a pointer on left side, a setter on right side & large vignette of a running bull elk on floorplate, surrounded with light coverage, very beautiful foliate arabesque patterns. 12 ga. BBLS: Bore diameter: left – .730, right – .730. Bore restrictions: left – .019, right – .015. Wall thickness: left – .029, right – .030. 16 ga. BBLS: Bore diameter: left -.664, right – .664. Bore restrictions: left – .016, right – .000. Wall thickness: left – .023, right – .026. Drop at heel: 2-3/8”, drop at comb: 1-3/8”. Weight with 16 ga. bbls: 6 lbs. 11.52 oz. Listed in the Parker Gun Identification & Serialization book as a B4 Grade, hammerless with ejectors & straight stock in 16 ga. with 28” bbls. B4 Grade is a C Grade gun with Bernard Steel bbls. CONDITION: Very fine. Both bbls retain about all of a beautiful professionally restored finish with bright Damascus patterns. Receiver retains case colors in the most sheltered areas, being faded, silvered case colors overall. Trigger guard is a silver/gray patina. Stock has a hairline back of top tang with a tiny hairline at back edge of forearm, otherwise wood is sound and retains most all of a fine professionally restored finish with some light creases in finish on buttstock. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bores with some very faint orange peel effect just in front of chambers on both sets of bbls. 4-59227 JR553 (8,000-12,000)
