BERNICE ABBOTT (American, 1898-1991) NADEAU’S STORE, MAINE. Vintage unsigned, unframed photograph shows Nadeau’s store with gas pumps, ice chest and man with string trimmer outside. Renowned photographer was Man Ray’s assistant in Paris and photographed scenes in Maine in the 1960’s. PROVENANCE: Given to consignor directly from the artist in 1984. IMAGE SIZE: 19-1/2” x 15-1/2”. CONDITION: Generally very good, photograph has been laid onto white cardboard. 9-28102 (500-1000)
