*SCARCE PARKER AAHE GRADE DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. SN 230959. Built on an “O” frame with 28” Peerless Steel bbls choked MOD/IMP-CYL with tapered concave matted rib, sgl bead, doll’s head rib extension, ejectors & gold plated dbl triggers. Mounted with carved & checkered, exceptionally high quality & highly figured, replacement, marble cake, honey & chocolate, Circassian walnut with fleur-de-lis carved, splinter forearm with extensively checkered & fleur-de-lis carved, pistol grip buttstock with checkered, raised fleur-de-lis side panels, 14-1/2” over a carved & checkered skeleton buttplate. Imortant Note: The orig stock and forearm, both in fine condition, are included with this lot. Grip cap is hard rubber with fluted edge & a blank gold initial plate in center. Receiver & all appended metal are wonderfully engraved with full coverage, extremely fine, intertwined, foliate arabesque patterns with bouquets of daisies on each side and floorplate with a smaller bouquet at bottom front of receiver. Trigger guard has raised gold initials “TDS”. Buttplate is engraved to match and there is a small ring of decoration around muzzles. Engraving extends 2” up over chamber areas. Accompanied by its orig stock and forearm made of very nicely figured French walnut with carved and checkered splinter forearm and pistol grip stock with raised, carved, checkered side panels and extensively checkered wrist with a Noshoc solid pad. The serial number of this shotgun is in the lower tang channel of the buttstock. Bore diameter: left – .618, right – .617. Bore restrictions: left – .018, right – .005. Wall thickness: left – .025, right – .025. Drop at heel: 2-1/4”, drop at comb: 1-1/2”. Weight: 6 lbs. 3.84 oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain all of a fine professionally restored blue. Receiver has traces of case colors in sheltered areas with faded case colors on sides. Floorplate retains about 35-40% case colors, strong in sheltered areas, turned silver elsewhere. Forend iron has light, faded case colors. Wood is sound and retains about all of its fine, professional, custom finish. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bores. 4-59232 JR446 (40,000-60,000)
