*CASED WINCHESTER CUSTOM GRADE MODEL 21 DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. SN 31514. Fine Model 21 with 28″ bbls, choked MOD/IMP CYL with Simmons vent rib with Nydar style front bead. The receiver has stepped sides with light flourishes of foliate arabesque patterns on the sides, over the top and on the opening lever. The floor plate has a large vignette of a flying duck with light border and foliate arabesque patterns. The trigger bow is inlaid with gold initials “RRW”. It is mounted in replacement fantastic center crotch cut, sun burst American walnut wood with full checkered horn insert beaver tail forearm and a square knob pistol grip stock, 14-1/8″ over a Winchester hard rubber buttplate. It has a gold single selective trigger & ejectors. It is accompanied by a modern canvas & leather green felt lined trunk case with compartments for the shotgun & bbls, an English square nickeled oiler and a pair of brass & plastic snap caps. CONDITION: Very fine, as noted, retains virtually all of its fine custom finish to both metal & wood with some slight thinning on the bbls over the forearm area and light edge wear on the receiver. The wood is sound with a series of small chips in the finish on the comb and top of the wrist. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bores. 4-52402 JR903 (5,500-7,500)
