LARGE SIZE FREDERIC REMINGTON BRONZE TITLED “COWBOY”. Wonderful dark toned bronze, overall length about 39″ by about 33″ high on an integral bronze base 13″ wide by 26-3/4″ long. The image is wonderfully detailed of an 1880’s cowboy astride his prancing horse. The cowboy is dressed with a vest, neckerchief and gauntlets and a nicely detailed pair of chaps and boots. The saddle is very early style with high cantle and Texas dbl cinched rig. It is in Mexican style without a horn and has a lariat on the right side. The base has the artist’s signature. CONDITION: Extremely fine and complete with no damage visible, showing little or no wear. Slightly dusty, otherwise fine. 4-51551 JR947 (4,000-6,000)
