MONOGRAMMED TSW (American, 19th Century) MT. WASHINGTON, FROM THE INTERVALE. Outstanding oil on canvas panoramic scene shows what appears to be Mt. Washington in the background and a series of low rolling hills dotted with fields and lined with stone walls. Farms are seen nestled amongst trees and farmers are seen with wagon and carts, cattle and horse drawer hay wagon. All under a blue and white cloud sky. Foreground has a corn field and the artist has signed the center with an artist monogram with initials “TS conjoined and a W. Housed in a wonderful lemon gold deep molded period frame. SIZE: 16” x 34”. CONDITION: Relined with some inpainting. Very good. 9-70609 (2,500-3,500)
