RARE WINCHESTER MODEL 1890 SINGLE- -W CARTRIDGE BOARD. Beautiful original board in its original frame with 142 cartridges including the monster 70-140. The backing label is still present although it appears that all of the cartridges were either “tightened up” or in a few cases, were retied. This is one of the more rare and desirable of Winchester’s cartridge boards and seldom is one ever found for sale. CONDITION: Very fine, appears to have all original cartridges that are nice and bright with only a very few spots of oxidation. They do not appear to have ever been cleaned. The lettering and artwork are slightly faded and the gilding on the frame liner is dull. Otherwise the frame has most of an old applied finish. The board is missing tins of No. 1 and No. 2 Berdan caps and the 1-1/8″ exploder, otherwise the board appears to be completely intact and an extremely fine example. 4-53306 JR941 (15,000-25,000)
