IVES STANDARD GAUGE ELECTRIC LOCOMOTIVE #3243 WITH TWO CARS. This twelve-wheeled locomotive has a cast iron frame which is painted black, the cab is yellow-orange with green window trim, stamped “THE IVES RAILWAY LINES,” “3243 N.Y.C. & H.R.” The number “3243” appears on the cab ten times. Two passenger cars include a buffet combine car #187-3 with six-wheel trucks and an observation car #189-3 with matching six-wheel trucks. Both are in dark orange with brass trim and lettered “THE IVES RAILWAY LINES,” “N.Y.C. & H.R.” CONDITION: Axle and two pilot wheels are missing, but in great condition with very few paint chips; observation car has minor imperfection on platform where two spindles were removed to accommodate light sockets, however, the paint on these cars is very good.
